I've been slacking...

Guys, I am super sorry. August has been an insanely crazy month for me between school starting for my kids, working full time, one of them is getting braces this week *cringes* and trying to get Loving Angel ready for my editor.

This is how I feel after hours of editing. It's not a pretty sight.

On top of all that, I got a new little puppy.
She is the sweetest Maltese/Havanese, but having a puppy and training her takes dedication.

*takes deep breath*

This Tuesday I am going to start back up with the Loving Angel teasers. Also look for the announcement this coming week for the release date!! I am soooooooooo excited to share this book, and so is Chase. It was definitely a challenge for me to write the entire book from his POV. I hope that I did him justice.

The finally book in the series will be written in a duel POV from both Chase and Angel, and will be released in 2015.

You guys are the best!!!

10 Random questions

1. Can you solve a rubix cube?
God no.

2. Do you gamble?
I kick butt at Texas Holdem. (Thanks hubby for the lessons)

3. Have you ever stolen a street sign?
No, but I did have a fire hydrant dropped into my front yard as a joke.

4. Tea or Coffee?
Both, I have a caffeine addition.

5. What is your song of the week?
Selfie by Chainsmokers (fun fact: I suck at selfies)

6. Do you parallel park or drive around the block?
You don't want me to parallel park. I must definitely drive around the block.

7. Who is the last person you think about before falling asleep?
Whichever book character I am currently writing, lately it would be Chase ;)

8. What is the weirdest thing you've done while driving?
Clipped my nails. I hate hangnails. They drive me berserk.

9. Which store would you choose to max out your credit card?
This is a toughie. Darn you Victoria Secret, you temptress and your Love Pink line.

10. If you could eat lunch with one famous person, who would it be?
Now I know I should pick someone who would give me insight and great words of wisdom like the Bill Gates, the Pope, or a former President, but (and this will come as no surprise) I would probably pick Jensen Ackles, so I could sit there, gazing into his baby blue eyes and talk about demons (great research material too.) Then at the end he would plant one on me for realz and I'd swoon.
Wait...what?

25 Random Things About Moi (just in case you were wondering)

I've done a post like this before, but I think they are so fun, so I decided to do an up-to-date one.

1. My current fiction boyfriend is...wait for it...Chase Winters. (I can't help myself. I just love him.)

Birchbox - December 2013

So I got my December Birchbox, and I thought it would be fun to share with you guys. If you haven't heard of it, check them out here.

Each month for $10 they send a box of beauty samples (sometimes full size) that you can purchase at their shop (you accumulate points too that you can use to buy stuff). It's fun, and I love getting the box each month =)

This is what came in my December box. And I have already used almost all of the products.

Each box comes with a card listing product details.

1. Hello perfume by Harvey Prince. It has a nice, light, floral scent. I am super picky about my perfume, but I really liked this.

2. Glittery hair tie and Manna glo shimmer lotion. I used the shimmer lotion with my foundation. Loved it, but not something I would use everyday.

3. 25-hour Miracle cream - This is a moisturizer that doubles as a make-up remover. I haven't tried this one yet.

4. Number 4 hairspray. This was nice, good scent too, which is a plus. I don't normally use hairspray. I'm a wash and go kind of girl.

There you guys go. What do you think? Should I post my Birchbox goodies every month? I also got a monthly subscription to Ipsy. They are just like Birchbox, same price, but different products. I am excited to get my first box in January. Maybe I will do a comparison of the two...

Random ramblings...

I don't really have any fabulous news, it just feels like I haven't blogged in forever.

First let me say that I am already having Daryl Dixon withdrawals. February? Really?

On an upbeat note, I sent Chasing Angel to the editor. The moment I hit send, I had a panic attack. I never feel like a book is ready, and I already want to go back in make a million more changes, but I am restraining myself until after I get the edits back. *Deep breath*

If you haven't checked them out yet, there are a few giveaways in the below post with awesome prizes!!! Thank you guys for sharing your favorite cookie recipes. I am officially craving Christmas.

I am thinking while Chasing Angel is in edits I will write a bonus Christmas scene…hmmm

There will also be some upcoming posts about Weaving Magick. I will be working on designing a cover (I need the visual inspiration), and I am thinking about giving a sneak peak of Chapter 1.

And lastly, I have a short story called Blood, Love, and Magic that is being released under Nevermore Press in 2014. I guess I did have some exciting news after all.  I will post more deets once I know.

You guys rock my socks!!!

Help me! o_0

*** UPDATE *** 11/18/13

Thank you guys so much. This was fun!! I am closing the poll & announcing the winner soon. Entries from here on out will not count. And if your choice didn't win, I can guarantee it will appear in one of my books in the future =)

Okay. So my sister hates the name I chose for my heroine in a new book I started working on over the summer (details to come in a later post - soon!). I literally cannot finish writing this book without a name I love. So I am stuck.

Pick which one you like the best. I want a character my readers can connect with!! The book is a YA Paranormal Romance about a witches, magic, and a curse.

What name do you like? (p.s. she's a witch)
Collins
Piper
Katia
Rowan
Trinity

In honor of Waking Dead tonight...

So I am acting a like a total fangirl tonight.

Why?

Because I finally get to drool over Daryl again. *wipes mouth with back of sleeve* And in honor, I am giving you guys my list of 5 things I couldn't live without during a Zombie Apocalypse. (Don't laugh *snickers*)

1. A really great pair of running shoes.
2. My collection of Nora Robert books. (better yet, I am going to make sure I am holed up in a library)
3. Zombie repellent (Someone will invent this right?)
4. A lifetime supply of moisturizer and lip gloss. I can't live through a normal day w/out ithese let alone a Zombie Apocalypse.
5. Daryl Dixon. Umm, the only way I am surviving this is if Daryl kicks some Zombie a**.

In a Zombie Apocalypse, what 5 things would you take?

P.S. I need to get one of these...stat.

Sips and Sjin...the real deal (from Hunting Angel)

In the opening of Hunting Angel - book 2, Angel is watching a YouTube channel, Sips and Sjin.

I am going to give them a shameless plug today, well because I freaking adore them.

They are part of the Yogscast, which is a team of gamers mostly from the UK who do play through of video games, in case you've never heard of them. I live in a house in which video games are being played on at least one of our TVs or computers at all times. I grew up playing them and really haven't stopped.

It is one the things I love about Angel, that she is a gamergirl. I think it makes her badass in her own way, dominating in what can be a boys world. Like in Call of Duty. I love those games and am totally itching to get my hands on Ghost, but if you've ever played, then you know that their aren't a whole ton of chicks in the matches. (I am not ashamed to admit that I am a camper, and I have been known to rage quit on multiple occasions)

What episode is Angel watching when the notorious Chase Winters strolls in like he owns the world?

Sooooo many to choose from, but when I wrote the scene I had one in mind. It happens to be I think one of my favorite episodes.

Here it is...

It makes me giggle everything time I hear how excited Sjin gets during this PVP (Player versus Player). I love gamer lingo btw.

How did I stumble upon these two jokers?

I can't not even tell you how many hours I have spent watching these guys and the other members of the Yogscast. It has become a family event in my house. I pretty much blame them for every missed deadline, they distract me from writing.

My kids stumbled onto a game called Minecraft a few years ago, which now has blown up. Whenever they can't figure out something in a game they will YouTube how to do it, because lets face it, there is nothing you can't find on YouTube nowadays. Its cray cray.

It was through his search that he came across the Yogscast and the rest is history. Bam! My love affair with Sips and Sjin began.

XOXO

PS On a side note, Breaking Emma is almost ready to go to the editors @_@, which means I can start Chasing Angel!!!

Oh. Meh. Gerd.

Why yes it is.

I can't believe my last post was almost a month ago. Jeesh. What is wrong with me?
A lot, but we won't get into that @_@

So I have had just a crazy summer and there has been lots of changes and changes still to come. As you know Luminescence was picked up by Nevermore Press, and I am so excited to see how the final product turns out for the first two books.

Luminescence will be released on Nov. 15th and Amethyst Tears on Dec. 20th. I will post more info as I get it ;)

Some of you may be wondering what is going on with the last two books in both series...

Honestly I don't know what I was thinking writing two series at once. That was never in my plan, but Chase and Angel kept nagging me and I couldn't stop until I had it written done. And I am so glad that I did! Though sometimes I cross streams and if you have ever seen Ghostbusters than you know that is a big no-no, which is why I feel it is really important that I have a great team like Nevermore helping me out.

It is not yet official because I have been struggling with the decision for the last month or so whether I also re-release the books under Nevermore who have expressed great interest in the Divisa series, which I totally don't blame them. I mean, Chase and Angel are just dynamite in my opinion;) I love those two <3

I know it will totally stink having to wait a little longer for the books and I know some of you could care less about the many mistakes I make, but I know quite a few people who will be rejoicing. A polished book I can be proud and readers will thoroughly enjoy is my ultimate goal. I hope you all don't hate me for making you wait just a little longer to read the books ;(

As soon as I have definate release dates and fun info to share I will be posting here and most difinitely tweeting it. Twitter got a mouthful from me last night ;)

I love you guys - thanks so much for giving my books a shot. It literally means the world to me.
XOXO

The kinds of stuff you'll find in my books...

So I thought it would be fun to put together a little list of stuff that you are likely to find in reading one of my books.

1. Jared Padalecki. J/K. How awesome would it be if you could? Though I would prefer Jensen Ackles. (Have I mentioned that I have a thing for Jensen Ackles?)
2. Hot guys with piercings
3. Hot guys with tattoos
4. Hot guys with piercings and tattoos (ok I think I got all the hotness covered)
5. Hot Bad boys. Correction. To drool for bad boys.
6. Swearing. In real life I swear like a sailor, so I try real hard to tone it down in my books.
7. A ton of description about eyes. @_@ I have a thing for eyes. It's my favorite feature, and I really like exotic eyes. I just realized that both my series have glowing eyes - lol.
8. Alpha males. I like my male leads to be possessive and protective.
9. Sarcasm.
10. Cliches.
11. Steamy, magnetism sexual tension.
12. Kissing and more...oh yeah. I like the and more part.
13. Cliffhangers.
14. A fun read. (I hope)

For those Luminescence fans, I will have exciting news to share in the near future!

XOXO

My Boy Chase...

I am totally blown away by the release of Hunting Angel and so is my boy Chase.

At first I was like...

My husband hearing all the common asked, "Are you okay?" And I was like...

Of course I can't help myself...

Then my husband asked...

Ummm... Does being high on Chase count?

Husband: "Say what?"

So I just wanted to say...

and...

What I'm trying to say is...

and...

I'm having a moment...

Hello future husband...

Dear God... Someone hose me down. Just in case you didn't know, I have a serious, umm serious crush on Jensen Ackles! *fans self*

Things have been crazy for me lately. I hope you all had a fab-u-lous Memorial Day!

Well, it is crunch time for me as I do the last bit of finesse on Hunting Angel. I am beyond excited to get this book out. It has been such a whirlwind year for me.

In the past year, I wrote and published my first book, along with 3 others. My 5th one is due out next month. @_@

Not too shabby for a girl with a big dream.

I just wanted to thank you all for making this such an awesome year for me. I absolutely love hearing from you and all the emails I've gotten.

You guys rock!!!

XOXO

Zoning out

Hiya!

So I have been in this writing phase lately. After a long day at my 9-5, I love to come home, lock myself away, boot up my computer, plug in my earbuds, and...

Blare an obscene amount Evanescence tracks on repeat.

I almost always listen to music while I zone out and write, lately its all about Evanescence.

I absolutely love the balance of her voice and the rock. It is darkly beautiful, poetic and inspires me. The words just seem to flow so much smoother with Amy Lee singing to me.

I love all of their songs, but my absolute fav is Bring Me to Life.

What do you guys zone-out to?

Multiple POV's...yeah or nah?

Hmmm. Look at those lips.

Every blog post should start with a yummy guy, it's like having a bowl of Wheaties in the morning. My Wheaties would have to be Damon Salvatore.

Lately I have been mulling around with a new story - a Dystopian Romance. I've been playing with ideas here and there, trying to figure stuff out (stuff, I have such a way with words). I started out writing in 1st person, then I re-wrote in 3rd person, but what I think I really want to do is 1st person multiple POV's.

The two main characters are Zoeya and Dash, so I was thinking of alternating between the two of them.

Is this a good idea?
Do readers enjoy the swapping of POV's?

I personally enjoy them, but the few I have read didn't start the series out that way. It wasn't until the 4th or 5th book that the swapping of voices occurred.

Hmm... I just can't decided. I think when the time comes, I will post the intro in all three and take a poll. In the future. By future, I mean I have no idea when. I really need to keep my focus on Hunting Angel, but after that I might play around with the storyline. I am sure you will hear more about it.

If you have a preference or an opinion, let me know!

XOXO

A typical evening 0_o

Usually this is how an evening of writing works for me. It's like a science.

Boot-up laptop
Get bored and start playing Candy Crush on phone
Open Word document
Scroll through document
Reread paragraph trying to remember where I left off
Stare at Word, trying to remember all the great ideas I had while driving home from my 9-5
Type a sentence or two. Maybe more if I’m feeling saucy
Check out Facebook waiting to get inspired
Get inspired but not with writing – home décor
Stalk some decorating blogs
Follow some interesting ones
Then check out my blog
Scold myself for getting sidetrack. Write a paragraph, maybe a page, thinking, oh yeah on a roll
Candy Crush again. Finally pass that level I’ve been stuck on for a week. Give myself a silent high-five
Open YouTube and watch newest Yogscast video
Laugh butt off like an insane person. It can’t be helped.
Husband sticks head in to see what is so funny. “I thought you were writing.”
Busted. Quick close YouTube. “I am, right now.”
Get myself in the zone and write another paragraph
Find myself on Amazon reading people’s comments
Then over to Goodreads for some more lurking
Prowl on Twitter for awhile
Post a tweet, #hashtag like a madwoman
Yell at myself for being on Twitter
Pledge to writing at least 1,000 words without any interruptions
Halfway through realize I haven’t checked my emails in a few hours
Which then leads to more stalking numerous websites
Look at clock and groan. Realize I actually need to write if I am going to finish this book. Do that.
Get a new scene in my head. Stop writing what I’m writing and skip ahead to new scene
End night, ready for bed
Then all the good stuff hits. Look at laptop cooling and grab notebook
Jot down ideas for tomorrow

Hopefully I am not the only author with sporadic habits. *sighs*
Though somehow a few months later I end up with a manuscript draft. Pretty-freaking-unbelievable.

Whateves...

So I am supposed to be doing some serious writing, but I am in FULL procrastination mode.

Hey. Damon.

Yes you do.

Today is Thursday, my fav night of the week. Hmm Vampire Diaries. Stating it now that I have a serious girl-crush on Damon. Yes, I squeal a little inside and smirk every time I see him. *smirks right now*

So in celebration of my writing laziness, I thought I would post Brianna's outfit she wore to Tori's Holiday bash. Well, at least what it looks in my head.

The micro-mini jean skirt (if you can call it that)

This is a top that Aria wore from Pretty Little Liars.

And last but not least the kickass boots.

I'll be doing some more visuals from my series and also some teasers coming soon for Hunting Angel.

Every time I hear this song...

Every time I hear this song...No joke, I think of Chase and Angel. Maybe its because I have been diligently working on Hunting Angel or maybe it is just because Chase is trouble (usually the good kind). Regardless, this song inspires me.

I am a huge Taylor Swift fan (this actually currently my ringtone. I love it that much).

Sometime next week a second edition of Saving Angel will be uploaded with so much needed editing. Losing Emma will follow in the next few weeks. Thank you Elena, you are life saver!

I am still amazed at the emails and comments I get about this series. It means the the world, it makes me want to keep on writing.

Pretty & Sweet Headband (its all Etsy fault)

I love to support independent sellers. As I am forever scoping out Etsy to find the cutest stuff.

Check out this sweet and romantic headband that just came in the mail yesterday. I just couldn't wait to try it on. It is on 26 degrees today in the Windy city, so it was a perfect day for it.

They are soft and very comfortable. I just fell in love with them on sight. These awesome knitted headbands are made my CoCosKnits. They have a bunch of other really cute stuff. Check out the etsy store.

Happy shopping!
XOXO
