Update and stuff

I have written a blog in forever. Why? Well two reasons, really.

1) I've been nose deep in working on Redeeming Angel

2) I'm just that flaking, and now I'm feeling guilty about it

I am very close to finishing Redeeming Angel and sharing the release date. The last chapters are always the hardest for me, and in this case especially so. I love the ever-loving crap out of these characters so much!! This series really made me feel like an author, if that makes any sense, and I will be sad when it ends.

However, I do have big plans in the future for new books and maybe possibly a Lexi spinoff (pondering the idea down the long road).

And in the meantime, if you need a Chase and  Angel fix once you have finished reading Redeeming Angel, I have decided to do a collection of Divisa Excerpts on my Wattpad, where I will be writing bonus scenes of Chase & Angel's life after Redeeming Angel. This will be a project I work on when I'm bored, inspired, or need a break from my WIP.

I might also take requests for scenes you guys would like to read =)

So, I threw together a quick cover. The collection will be called, Eternally Angel.

Also, to celebrate the upcoming release for Redeeming Angel, you can now get Saving Angel for FREE!!! So if you know a friend who might be interested in...

Love your guts out!

Divisa series gets a Makeover...

That's right, the Divisa series is getting a makeover. What does that mean? Between now and the end of the year (just a guess) there will be new awesome covers - heck yes! They will also be going through a new revision process as well. The goal is a whole new look ;)

I am very excited@_@

I am finishing the last edits on Breaking Emma which is set to release on Oct. 18th, but I might move it up a week depending on how fast the edits go. The last few weeks have been crazy-crazy. I spent yesterday shopping with my parents in Lake Geneva, WI and ate at my favorite restaurant. So nice to enjoy such a beautiful day, not it is back to the grind.

Hope you guys have a great week!!!

Oh. Meh. Gerd.

Why yes it is.

I can't believe my last post was almost a month ago. Jeesh. What is wrong with me?
A lot, but we won't get into that @_@

So I have had just a crazy summer and there has been lots of changes and changes still to come. As you know Luminescence was picked up by Nevermore Press, and I am so excited to see how the final product turns out for the first two books.

Luminescence will be released on Nov. 15th and Amethyst Tears on Dec. 20th. I will post more info as I get it ;)

Some of you may be wondering what is going on with the last two books in both series...

Honestly I don't know what I was thinking writing two series at once. That was never in my plan, but Chase and Angel kept nagging me and I couldn't stop until I had it written done. And I am so glad that I did! Though sometimes I cross streams and if you have ever seen Ghostbusters than you know that is a big no-no, which is why I feel it is really important that I have a great team like Nevermore helping me out.

It is not yet official because I have been struggling with the decision for the last month or so whether I also re-release the books under Nevermore who have expressed great interest in the Divisa series, which I totally don't blame them. I mean, Chase and Angel are just dynamite in my opinion;) I love those two <3

I know it will totally stink having to wait a little longer for the books and I know some of you could care less about the many mistakes I make, but I know quite a few people who will be rejoicing. A polished book I can be proud and readers will thoroughly enjoy is my ultimate goal. I hope you all don't hate me for making you wait just a little longer to read the books ;(

As soon as I have definate release dates and fun info to share I will be posting here and most difinitely tweeting it. Twitter got a mouthful from me last night ;)

I love you guys - thanks so much for giving my books a shot. It literally means the world to me.
XOXO

The kinds of stuff you'll find in my books...

So I thought it would be fun to put together a little list of stuff that you are likely to find in reading one of my books.

1. Jared Padalecki. J/K. How awesome would it be if you could? Though I would prefer Jensen Ackles. (Have I mentioned that I have a thing for Jensen Ackles?)
2. Hot guys with piercings
3. Hot guys with tattoos
4. Hot guys with piercings and tattoos (ok I think I got all the hotness covered)
5. Hot Bad boys. Correction. To drool for bad boys.
6. Swearing. In real life I swear like a sailor, so I try real hard to tone it down in my books.
7. A ton of description about eyes. @_@ I have a thing for eyes. It's my favorite feature, and I really like exotic eyes. I just realized that both my series have glowing eyes - lol.
8. Alpha males. I like my male leads to be possessive and protective.
9. Sarcasm.
10. Cliches.
11. Steamy, magnetism sexual tension.
12. Kissing and more...oh yeah. I like the and more part.
13. Cliffhangers.
14. A fun read. (I hope)

For those Luminescence fans, I will have exciting news to share in the near future!

XOXO

Cover Reveal & New book...It's a double whammy!

**Spoiler**

If you haven't finished HUNTING ANGEL, you might want to divert your eyes or skip this post.

Now that the release of HUNTING ANGEL has finally happened (heck ya), I thought this would be a good time to let you all know that there will be Novella coming soon featuring Emma & Travis.

After finishing HUNTING ANGEL, I realized there was a chunk missing from the story focusing around Emma & Travis. So I decided to write a novella, which wasn't in my plan, but I felt the need to expand on their story.

Here is the cover for BREAKING EMMA. A decription will follow shortly, as soon as I write it - LOL.

This book will pick up Emma's story after SAVING ANGEL and during HUNTING ANGEL. Hopefully this will fill in some of the blanks.

You guys are the best!

Also there might be some might be some posts coming in the future from Chase Winters himself and his side of what went down in Hunting Angel. He has an opinion on everything.

Dude, Yes!

I couldn't say it better.

There are only 16 days, 14 hours, 5 minutes and 02 seconds left until the Release of HUNTING ANGEL. I have added a countdown to my blog, because I just can't handle the suspense any longer and I suck at math. It is just too time consuming to figure out all those days, hours, minutes and seconds myself.

In the near future I have a special announcement that I am just dying to spill about the Divisa series. I will try to refrain myself until after the release but I make no promises. I am the worst at keeping secrets.

Holy Moley!!! HUNTING ANGEL - released 6/28/13

Holy Moley! Yep - you read it right. No double take necessary.

HUNTING ANGEL f-i-n-ally has a release date. I did it. I made a commitment.

It will be available for sale on Amazon.com June 28!!!

Oh. My Gosh. Guys.

I can not tell you the number of peeps who have messaged me, facebooked me, emailed me about this book. I feel so loved <3.

I like it. It is so nice to hear from people who are dying to read this book as much as I am dying to get it out there.

I think Chase and Angel are ready to make their second debut as well. I tell you writing about these two makes me grin, chuckle, and feel just a little bit naughty.

So I know you are probably wondering why the date got pushed back from what I original thought. Well truthfully, I can't seem to stop tweaking the book.

There will be upcoming details about a blogtour if I can pull it all together @_@

Thanks guys!!!

XOXO

Zoning out

Hiya!

So I have been in this writing phase lately. After a long day at my 9-5, I love to come home, lock myself away, boot up my computer, plug in my earbuds, and...

Blare an obscene amount Evanescence tracks on repeat.

I almost always listen to music while I zone out and write, lately its all about Evanescence.

I absolutely love the balance of her voice and the rock. It is darkly beautiful, poetic and inspires me. The words just seem to flow so much smoother with Amy Lee singing to me.

I love all of their songs, but my absolute fav is Bring Me to Life.

What do you guys zone-out to?

Multiple POV's...yeah or nah?

Hmmm. Look at those lips.

Every blog post should start with a yummy guy, it's like having a bowl of Wheaties in the morning. My Wheaties would have to be Damon Salvatore.

Lately I have been mulling around with a new story - a Dystopian Romance. I've been playing with ideas here and there, trying to figure stuff out (stuff, I have such a way with words). I started out writing in 1st person, then I re-wrote in 3rd person, but what I think I really want to do is 1st person multiple POV's.

The two main characters are Zoeya and Dash, so I was thinking of alternating between the two of them.

Is this a good idea?
Do readers enjoy the swapping of POV's?

I personally enjoy them, but the few I have read didn't start the series out that way. It wasn't until the 4th or 5th book that the swapping of voices occurred.

Hmm... I just can't decided. I think when the time comes, I will post the intro in all three and take a poll. In the future. By future, I mean I have no idea when. I really need to keep my focus on Hunting Angel, but after that I might play around with the storyline. I am sure you will hear more about it.

If you have a preference or an opinion, let me know!

XOXO

A typical evening 0_o

Usually this is how an evening of writing works for me. It's like a science.

Boot-up laptop
Get bored and start playing Candy Crush on phone
Open Word document
Scroll through document
Reread paragraph trying to remember where I left off
Stare at Word, trying to remember all the great ideas I had while driving home from my 9-5
Type a sentence or two. Maybe more if I’m feeling saucy
Check out Facebook waiting to get inspired
Get inspired but not with writing – home décor
Stalk some decorating blogs
Follow some interesting ones
Then check out my blog
Scold myself for getting sidetrack. Write a paragraph, maybe a page, thinking, oh yeah on a roll
Candy Crush again. Finally pass that level I’ve been stuck on for a week. Give myself a silent high-five
Open YouTube and watch newest Yogscast video
Laugh butt off like an insane person. It can’t be helped.
Husband sticks head in to see what is so funny. “I thought you were writing.”
Busted. Quick close YouTube. “I am, right now.”
Get myself in the zone and write another paragraph
Find myself on Amazon reading people’s comments
Then over to Goodreads for some more lurking
Prowl on Twitter for awhile
Post a tweet, #hashtag like a madwoman
Yell at myself for being on Twitter
Pledge to writing at least 1,000 words without any interruptions
Halfway through realize I haven’t checked my emails in a few hours
Which then leads to more stalking numerous websites
Look at clock and groan. Realize I actually need to write if I am going to finish this book. Do that.
Get a new scene in my head. Stop writing what I’m writing and skip ahead to new scene
End night, ready for bed
Then all the good stuff hits. Look at laptop cooling and grab notebook
Jot down ideas for tomorrow

Hopefully I am not the only author with sporadic habits. *sighs*
Though somehow a few months later I end up with a manuscript draft. Pretty-freaking-unbelievable.

Pretty & Sweet Headband (its all Etsy fault)

I love to support independent sellers. As I am forever scoping out Etsy to find the cutest stuff.

Check out this sweet and romantic headband that just came in the mail yesterday. I just couldn't wait to try it on. It is on 26 degrees today in the Windy city, so it was a perfect day for it.

They are soft and very comfortable. I just fell in love with them on sight. These awesome knitted headbands are made my CoCosKnits. They have a bunch of other really cute stuff. Check out the etsy store.

Happy shopping!
